Holy Frijole! We are Emmy Nominees!
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced their 2020 Emmy Award Nominations and we made the cut for “Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics” for our song “One Less Angel.”
Writing songs for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was the gift of a lifetime, and to be recognized by our music peers is truly overwhelming. Thanks to the entire Maisel team, from the music wizards Stewart Lerman, Robin Urdang and Matt Shapiro, to the extraordinary talent that brought the song to life, Darius de Haas, LeRoy McClain, the Silver Belles and musicians. But our most heartfelt gratitude and copious cocktails must be lifted to the mad geniuses behind it all, Amy & Dan, for always raising the bar of excellence and having faith that we could create a songbook for Shy and the Silver Belles that swings believably alongside classic music we love.
Oh, and our category also includes Trent Reznor, Pharrell, and Ingrid Michaelson. What the what?!
