It’s “For Your Consideration” Season in TV and that means we’ve gotten the opportunity to reunite with the extraordinary Marvelous Mrs. Maisel team for interviews, panels, and a music video extravaganza. Here are some of our favorite moments for you to click and enjoy:

  • “The Marvelous Music of Maisel”: With production delayed for season 4 thanks to Covid 19, the whole Maisel team got together to make a video featuring fresh scenes, your favorite moments from season 3, and new recordings of three of our original tunes. It’s the perfect escape during these difficult times.

  • “Maisel Dips a Toe in Original Song Competition”: Great article in Variety that gets to the heart of what we were trying to accomplish with our songs in Season 3.

  • “Awards Daily Contenders Countdown”: Who’d ever think we’d be #1 (with a bullet?) but the awards pundits at this favorite prediction website puts us atop their list of TV songs in contention for an Emmy, calling One Less Angel “catchy to the point of addiction.”

  • “Maisel Monday with Billy Porter”: The divine Billy Porter hosted a live conversation with us, LeRoy McClain, and Tony Shalhoub about Shy Baldwin, the arc of Season 3, and the music of the show. What a blast!

  • “Variety Composers Roundtable”: We got to chat with some of the best composers working in TV today, as well as share a few of our favorite moments from the set of Mrs. Maisel.

  • “Deadline MasterClass with Mizer and Moore”: We sat down for a fun, expansive behind-the-scenes look at how we wrote “One Less Angel” for Maisel. This video includes snippets of our demos, showing the progression of the writing process, including the original recording with Curtis singing!

  • “GoldDerby Composers Panel”: Curtis spoke one-on-one with the editor of Gold Derby about the collaborative world of Maisel and how we hone a musical hook. Then he got to join some of his compositional idols for a conversation about writing for TV.

  • “L.A. Times Emmy Contenders Playlist”: Listen to the best TV songs of the season, including “One Less Angel” at #2! So cool to be included on this list.

  • “The Film Experience Takeover”: Tom got to be guest host for the day at this essential film/awards website, including a post taking you behind-the-scenes on Maisel with his personal snapshots and favorite memories. Warning: there were tears.

Cut Song from “Mrs. Maisel" Released for Charity

The world is a little crazy out there right now. Sometimes you just need to dance.

We were wondering how we could help out during this Covid-19 crisis and thought—maybe people need a little music. So we dusted off a song we wrote for season three of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, that everyone loved, but ultimately didn’t get filmed. Then we reached out to the original Silver Belles (Alysha Deslorieux, Brennyn Lark, and Markita Prescott), had them pull out their iPhone, and make a recording of the tune. Finally, our dear friend and filmmaking wizard, Josh Koll, edited the footage together into a kicky blast of sunshine. And now, ladies and gentlemen, may we present a super bonus Maisel track, “Madly in Love". (You can read the whole story about the making of the track here at Entertainment Tonight!)

If you love the song as madly as we loved putting it together, please take a moment and donate to help out two of our favorite charities. Consider giving to our friends at:

  • The Actors Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance, affordable housing, health care, and counseling to people at all levels of the entertainment industry, an industry hit particularly hard by the pandemic.

  • Covenant House, which provides housing and support for homeless and trafficked teens, a community that is being ignored and put at greater risk during this national emergency.

Thank you so much for sharing your sunshine. Now let’s share two minutes of joy—and look toward a time when we can all dance together.
